Congratulations on signing up with Black Star! Now that you’re a part of our community, let’s get started with setting up your first investment portfolio. Just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Select Your Investment Goals
After you sign up, you'll see the "Let’s create your new portfolio" page. This is where you decide what you're investing towards. You can choose from:
- Retirement
- Education
- Buying a house or land
- Building an Emergency Fund
- Buying a car
Or you can select a Custom goal to define your own. Tap the goal that aligns with your financial aspirations.
Step 2: Choose Your Investment Strategy
Once you've identified your goal, it's time to pick how you want to achieve it. You will be presented with two strategies:
Active Investing:If you're keen on making your own investment choices and managing your portfolio, select this option.
Auto Invest: For a more hands-off approach, letting our automated portfolio manager craft and manage your investments, choose this option. Make your choice based on how involved you want to be in the investment process. (this feature is still in development, and is currently not available)
Step 3: Fund Your Portfolio
Now that you've defined your investment goals and strategy, it's time to determine your initial investment amount. On the "Dive in! What's your starting investment?" screen, you'll be prompted to enter the sum you wish to invest to kick-start your investment journey.
Use the keypad to enter any amount you are comfortable starting with, keeping in mind the minimum initial investment. To quickly add predefined amounts, use the quick add buttons.
After entering your amount, tap “Add Cash” to deposit the funds into your portfolio.
Step 5: Begin Your Investment Journey
Congratulations, your portfolio is now active! You can monitor its progress, and make additional investments anytime through the app.
