How to Withdraw Funds from Your Portfolio Cash Balance on the Black Star App

When you need to access your funds, withdrawing money from your portfolio is straightforward. Follow these simple steps to make a withdrawal:

Step 1: Navigate to Your Wallet
Open the Black Star app. Tap on the 'Wallet' icon in the navigation bar to view your available cash balance.

Step 2: Initiate Withdrawal
Within your wallet, locate and tap the 'Withdraw' button.
This will open a new screen where you can select which portfolio you want to withdraw funds from. You can only withdraw after selling an investment. Read about how to sell your investment here.

Step 3: Select Portfolio
If you have multiple portfolios, you'll need to select the specific portfolio from which you want to withdraw funds. Tap on 'Select Portfolio' and choose the appropriate one.

Step 4: Enter Withdrawal Amount
After selecting the portfolio, enter the amount of cash you wish to withdraw. You can choose to enter a specific amount or select 'Withdraw All' to empty the portfolio’s cash balance.

Step 5: Review and Confirm
Once you've entered the amount, review your withdrawal details carefully. Ensure that the correct portfolio is selected and that the withdrawal amount is as you intended.

Step 6: Verify Bank Account Details
For your security, you will be prompted to enter the last four digits of your bank account number. This is to confirm that the withdrawal is being made to the correct and verified account you provided during the onboarding process.

Step 7: Withdrawal Confirmation
After you proceed, you should see a confirmation message indicating that the withdrawal has been successful and the funds are on their way to your bank account. 

Step 8: Check Your Bank Account
Depending on the processing time, which can vary from immediately up to a few business days, check your bank account to confirm the reception of the withdrawn funds.
