How to Purchase USD Investments with Your Cedi Cash

Overview

With the Black Star Group app, you can easily invest in USD-denominated investments even if you have a Cedi Cash. Our app converts your Cedi to USD during the transaction process, enabling you to buy stocks and other assets priced in USD.

Steps to Purchase USD Investments Using Your Cedi Account

1. Login to the App:

   • Open the Black Star Group app on your device and log in with your credentials.

2. Navigate to the Invest Tab:

   • Tap on the 'Invest' tab located at the bottom of the screen.

3. Select the Investment Type:

   • Choose the investment type you want to purchase, such as stocks or ETFs

4. Choose the Specific Investment:

   • Select the specific stock or investment you are interested in. For instance, if you want to purchase Apple (APPL), tap on it to view details.

5. Review Investment Details:

   • Review the investment details including the current market price and other relevant information.

6. Select 'Buy':

   • Tap on the 'Buy' button to proceed with the purchase.

7. Set the Transaction Currency:

   • In the transaction screen, you will see an option to set the transaction currency. Select 'GHS' (Ghana Cedi).

8. Enter the Amount:

   • Enter the amount you wish to invest. The app will automatically convert this amount to USD based on the current exchange rate.

9. Review Conversion Details:

   • Review the conversion rate, estimated shares, transaction fee, and total amount in both GHS and USD.

10. Confirm the Order:

    • Tap 'Proceed to Buy' to confirm the order. Your Cedi will be converted to USD, and the investment will be processed.

11. Order Completion:

    • Once the order is completed, you will receive a confirmation, and your new investment will be added to your portfolio.
