If you’re unable to upload your photo or ID document in the Black Star app, it’s often because the app doesn’t have the necessary permissions to access your camera or photo gallery. This can happen if permissions were not granted during the initial setup or if they were accidentally disabled later.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
For iOS Users

Check Camera Permissions
- Go to your iPhone’s Settings.
- Scroll down and select Black Star App.
- Toggle on Camera to allow access.

Check Photo Library Permissions
- In the Settings app, locate and select Black Star App.
- Tap on Photos.
- Choose All Photos to allow the app to access your photo library.

Restart the App
- Close the Black Star app completely.
- Reopen the app and try uploading your photo or ID again.
For Android Users

Check Camera Permissions
- Open your device’s Settings.
- Go to Apps or App Management (varies by device).
- Find and select Black Star App from the list of installed apps.
- Tap on Permissions and enable Camera.

Check Storage/Photo Library Permissions
- Follow the same steps above to access the Permissions for the Black Star app.
- Enable Storage or Files and Media, depending on your device.

Restart the App
- Close the Black Star app.
- Reopen it and try uploading your photo or ID again.
